Great Yarmouth brewer Bill Russell is working flat out to double his supply of Christmas Ale this year – and that’s not just to keep the customers satisfied.
Last year, he sold out of Blackfriars Brewery’s entire stock of festive fare by Christmas Eve and had to dash to a shop to buy something for his own celebrations.
So after another triumphant year for the TMS client has upped output to a full brew of the Christmas Ale, producing around 1,500 pints.
The special recipe is based on his Old Habit bitter but with added spices like ginger and cinnamon and a variation of the hop.
